Entrepreneur Express is a series of training offered throughout Virginia that provide interactive discussions covering key elements of business practices to move your business forward.

Schedule:


Oct 13 – Class 1: Starting your Business (presented by BDAG)
What are the steps you need to take to get your business started? How do you get a tax id number, do you need a business license, when do you need a DUNS number? Why do you need a business plan and what are the resources you have at your disposal? Learn about the steps, tips and resources to get your business started.

Oct 20 – Class 2: Marketing your business (Presented by SCORE) How can you cost-effectively market your business? Learn how to develop a marketing plan, define your target customers, use social media to market, do customer profiling, brand your company and other effective ways to market your business.

Oct 27 – Class 3: Financing your business (presented by the Latino Economic Development Center) If getting a small business loan from a traditional bank is not an option for your business, then consider a community-based micro lender. Micro lenders are your best option when you need a smaller loan. Learn about micro loans and see how they can help your business grow.
